We started PilMarket because independent pharmacies deserve the same online reach as the big chains — and customers deserve a simple way to buy from pharmacists they can trust.
PilMarket is the technology platform. The pharmacies are the sellers: they hold the stock, employ the pharmacists, take payment through their own accounts and dispatch every parcel.

How we work
Four checks before a pharmacy goes live.
Pharmacies join PilMarket by invitation only. Before anything is listed we complete these steps.

Licence check with the national regulator
We confirm the pharmacy premises is on the General Pharmaceutical Council register and record the registration number shown on its storefront.

Superintendent pharmacist
We confirm the named superintendent pharmacist responsible for the pharmacy’s clinical governance.
- 03
Payment & delivery set-up
Each pharmacy connects its own payment provider and its own tracked carrier, so money and parcels go directly between you and the pharmacy.

Ongoing monitoring
We monitor listings, order handling and customer feedback, and can suspend any pharmacy that falls short of our standards.

Only registered pharmacy premises can sell on PilMarket. Registration numbers are shown publicly.
Pharmacist oversight
A pharmacist reviews every order and can decline a supply that isn’t appropriate.

We follow the GDPR, UK GDPR and the data protection laws of each country we operate in. Your health data is shared only with the pharmacy fulfilling your order.
Secure payments
Card details are handled by the pharmacy’s PCI-compliant provider — never stored by PilMarket.
